Our history

It was 1960 when Aldo Carozzi began marketing the valley’s products. In the heart of Valsassina, first in Ballabio and then in Pasturo, Carozzi Formaggi began managing the production and maturing of cheeses, growing with the succession of generations and also establishing itself abroad.
For more than fifty years we have been committed to combining the precious artisan skills of cheesemakers with the needs dictated by the most modern taste . The result is a vast range of unique cheeses, the result of a solid passion and some happy intuitions, which over the years have received prestigious awards.
In 2015 the Formaggeria was born , a space dedicated to the gastronomic excellence of Valsassina: a resale of products and a bistro, but also a place of discovery, experimentation and high-level gastronomic events.

Gorgonzola DOP Selezione Dolce and Capriziola were both awarded the gold medal at the thirtieth edition of the World Cheese Awards
