2005 Founding of Alfagel
Fabrice Jaubert and Alain Kaskassian created Alfagel in 2005 in Marseille. They are both passionate about Provence and the region’s gastronomy and started their Alfagel adventure by acquiring the Maison de la Glace brand, a real local institution founded by Pierre Zappella in 1947.
In 2006 Alfagel set up its production laboratory at the MIN des Arnavaux in Marseille, the fruit and vegetable market for wholesalers, importers and local producers. A production tool to produce artisan ice creams and sorbets for the catering industry.
Very quickly (2006), these entrepreneurs decided to focus on the regional supermarkets which were looking for quality artisan ice creams.
